Children’s University
What is Children’s University?
The Children’s University is a national organisation that provides 5 to 14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. We celebrate achievement and reward participation through our certificates.
Raising children’s aspirations is important to us and we aim to develop the understanding that learning can be the satellite navigation to better places in life!
At the heart of its work is the ambition to raise aspirations, boost achievement and foster a love of learning, so that young people can make the most of their abilities and interests.
All Sandylands pupils, (from Reception to Y6), can take part in Children’s University. They receive credits for attending any school clubs and residential visits. Credits from school activities are recorded on a database and sent to C.U. termly.
Children can also attend Learning Destinations in their own time and take part in holiday activities. Credits from these should be recorded in their passport. These credits are also checked each term by Miss Kenworthy and added to the database.
If you have any questions about Children’s University or you would like to send evidence of learning destination activities email: [email protected]
