On Friday, it was Childhood Day. This is where we were raising money for the NSPCC. We raised a whopping £208! Thank you everyone who took part. There were a number of activities to join in with. Playground Games ... Year 2 were joined by a whole host of experts from Lancaster University, Local Bird Watching group and RSPB and Wildlife Trust and local Eden Project. We wanted to learn about our local area and in particular the coastal habitat. We learnt a range of local bird calls... This little superstar has won a medal for his fanastic footballing skills as a defender for local team, Bare Rangers. We are very proud and hope you continue to develop your skills. He even scored a goal from the half way line! We have been learning about different types of animals, how they change, how they are cared for and the difference with humans. Emily came into Year 2 to visit us and show us a range of animals. We met animals such as Oscar the cornsnake, Sid the African land snail... Remember, whatever you do, no matter how small, you can help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination.
