We have been learning all about Winter in Nursery. We enjoyed playing out in the snow.
We found out about the animals that live at the North Pole and at the South Pole
Jack Frost froze the pens and also the penguins in ice blocks. We had to melt the ice to get them out.
We have been very creative. We mixed black and white paint to make grey and then printed with sticks. We then used the bubble wrap painted white to overprint on the sticks. We made snowflake pictures by using cotton tips dipped in paint and scrunched up tissue paper.
We talked about keeping warm in winter and the clothes that we wear. We made salt dough socks, jumpers and hats to hang in nursery.
We really enjoyed icing sugar painting. We painted the paper with icing sugar water and then used the pipettes to drip blue and green paint. We watched the colours merge together across the paper.
