Safeguarding is embedded throughout our practice at Sandylands Community Primary School. At Sandylands, we want children to feel happy and safe to come to school and achieve their potential. However, there may be times at home or at school when this isn’t the case and we can help.

More information on our approach to Safeguarding can be found in the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

This is updated annually, or more frequently should it be needed and works alongside other policies such as:

  • Online Safety Policy
  • Behaviour Policy
  • Acceptable Use Policy
  • Attendance Policy
  • PSHE Policy
  • RE Policy
  • Fundamental British Values Policy
  • SEND policy
  • Code of Conduct
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Health and Safety Policy

If your concerns relate to Online Safety, you can find more information here: Online Safety.

You may have heard the children talk about Buddy, who they have met in assemblies at school linked to the NSPCC campaign, Speak Out, Stay Safe.

Safeguarding for the children is embedded in all practice and has strong links to the PSHE curriculum taught in school.
