Year 5M took part in a series of different workshops, linked to the text Made by the Moon, recently when they visited Sunderland point as part of our work with the Morecambe Bay partnership. In the summer term, as part of the curriculum, the children used the text by Emily Hennessey to inspire them to write and create some fabulous artwork using Morecambe bay as a backdrop. As part of the day, the children created art using natural resources as well as participate in music, dance and Philosophy 4 children sessions – all outside! The author Emily will be visiting school next week to work with the Year 5 children on developing their creative writing using their local environment.
