Dear Parents,

I am sure you will be aware that there has been a significant spike in positive cases in the area. We now have much better access to testing, so on a positive note, we can quickly trace close contacts and prevent further spread of Covid 19.

This has also resulted in staff having to self isolate due to direct contact with a positive case within their household.

We are still working in class bubbles, with separate playtimes and lunchtimes to reduce the risk as much as possible. Staffing maybe disrupted until the end of term as staff maybe contacted through track and trace, unrelated to school.

If your child has to isolate then we will prepare home learning. If you could be so kind as to allow us time to prepare the materials, we would really appreciate it.

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals and is isolating, they are entitled to the Edenred vouchers. Please contact the school office if you have updated your email address to ensure your child receives their entitlement. If you would like to check whether your child is eligible for the vouchers, please contact Tel. 01524 581207

We are still there to support you in anyway we can. If you have anything you would like to talk over then please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Please resist from coming to the school office at the moment. We have staff on the yard in the morning and after school to take messages.

Lastly, but definitely not least, we are happy to announce the #hope planters and seeds will be ready on Monday. The children in school will be able to bring them home at the end of the day. Any children who are self-isolating will be able to collect them upon their return to school or, alternatively, please call the office and we can arrange collection if it is safe to do so.

Take care,

Ms Hickson
