Key Vocabulary
Habitat, ocean, desert, rainforest, arctic, pond, woodland, urban, coastal, local, world, micro habitats, animals, plants, living things, shelter, protection, food, temperature, weather, suitability
Learning Activities

Look at each of the things that are needed from a habitat – water, food, temperature, shelter, protection or safety, weather.
Look at example of a squirrel – Why is it suited to a woodland habitat. Go through and model this together. Look at other examples e.g. shark in ocean habitat.
Focus on what the animals need from the different habitats.
