Home Learning Nursery – Week beginning 22.2.21
Hello! Below is the home learning for those children who are working from home at the moment. Remember you can call the school office for a paper pack of all the work if you prefer. Complete your work in the Home learning book you were given over the first lockdown. If you require another one, please don’t hesitate to ask. Send in your work to [email protected].
We are starting to look at things that we find in our garden. Please see below so that you can follow it at home too.
Every day, we will share the learning on the nursery webpage, so you can see which Loom videos you need to watch and then have a go at the activities.
Don’t forget to send in any pictures, videos etc of your child’s learning to [email protected].
We would love to see it!
In your home learning pack there is a Learning overview for Nursery 22.2.21 along with a paper copy of all the activities.
There are daily activities for Maths, Busy Bodies, Reading, Phonics, Speaking and Listening with Miss Walton, Group time and a Story.

Busy Body Challenges – Lets get those bodies moving with daily activities.
REMEMBER if you go outside please ensure you stay a safe distance away from others.
Monday- Can you practise hopping? Watch the skill videos below
Tuesday– Let’s warm up those fingers. Can you make a beanstalk using your Peter Pointer finger and paint? Can you make your beanstalk even taller? Can you make another beanstalk? Which one is the tallest?
Wednesday Can you cut out and colour a flower picture? Can you cut out and colour in pictures from Jasper’s Beanstalk?

Thursday- Can you move like a slug or snail slithering and sliding along?

Activity 1 Monday (Understanding the World/Personal, Social and Emotional Development)
Task 1 – Planting a Bean. Can you plant a bean? Can you follow the instructions? What do plants need to grow? Can you take a picture of you planting your bean?
Task 2 – Can you look after your bean? What does it need to grow? Can you water it everyday?
Activity 2 Tuesday (Understanding the World/Technology)
Log in to your purple mash account – Can you go to minimash and explore the different areas? There is also a gardening video to watch and a pairs game to play
Activity 3 Wednesday (Communication and Language)
Can you find?
Look at the picture of Jasper’s beanstalk. Can you find the different objects in the picture? Can you talk about the picture using sentences? Can you extend your sentence using and or because? You can thin of your own ideas. Eg I can see a slug. The slug is slithering away because he does not want to be covered in soil.

Task 1 – Slugs and snails. Watch the Loom video all about slugs and snails. Can you find any slugs or snails? How do they move? Can you see a trail they have made?

Task 1 – Can you pretend to be Jasper? Can you do the different actions for each day in the story? Ask a grown to record you.
