A local recycling centre has asked for our help with sorting/grouping everyday materials. They need to know the key properties of specific materials and some kind of reference grid for ways they can be reused or recycled.

Learning Activity Line is a very important element in drawing. Line can change width, direction, thick or thin, and sketching.
Look at the sheet with examples of different line techniques and on plain paper have a go at copying each one with a heading.
Extra – once you have finished have a go at finishing the line drawing by adding line marks around the edge of the picture.

KKQ / Key Knowledge / Key Skills St Augustine brings Christianity to England (597 AD)
Key Vocabulary St Augustine, , monastery, missionaries, Wessex, Kent, Sussex, Essex, Northumbria, Mercia, East Anglia, Offa’s Dyke, runes, St Bede, thatched, Angles, Saxons and Jutes.
Learning Activity
By 687 much of England was Christian but at the start of Saxon times it was pagan.
• Pagans believed in a number of gods and goddesses.
• Celebrated nature such a the changing of the seasons
• Performed magical practices such as making charms and potions or invoke a specific goddess for aid
• believed in an afterlife similar to Heaven but often call it something else, for example Summerland, Asgard, the Celtic Otherworld,etc.
Over time, The Anglo-Saxons changed their beliefs with many converting to Christianity.
But why was this?
TASK: Use the sequence cards RS2a to order the story of St Augustine and the arrival of Christianity within Britain.
