We are continuing with our daily loom videos this week. You can watch all of the videos daily. They will be uploaded to the webpage by 9.30am each day. If you want to watch a video back to help you recap previous learning, click on the links below.
Remember you can call the school office for a paper pack of all the work if you prefer. Complete your work in the Home learning book you were given over lockdown. If you require another one, please don’t hesitate to ask. Send in your work to year3homework@sandylands.lancs.sch.uk

Learning Activity
This week you will be learning about pulse and rhythm.
Pulse is a steady beat like a ticking clock or heartbeat. It can be measured in time by counting the number of beats per minute (BPM).
Rhythm is the pattern of long and short sounds as you move through the song. Click on the link below to watch a short video explaining pulse and rhythm in more detail.

Find a song that you like and listen carefully. Can you identify the instruments being played? Can you find the pulse and the rhythm?
Explore different ways to show the pulse and rhythm. For example, clapping your hands or tapping your feet. You could even make your own drum.

• Talk about the games you played at home last week involving trusting other people.
• Think back to how it made you feel having to trust someone else when you were blind folded.
How did it make you feel? What were you thinking at the time?
• Can you remember some of the qualities you thought of that a person needs in order to be trusted?
• Think about the people you trust in school. Why can you trust them? What qualities do they have that makes them trustworthy?
• Draw a picture of someone you can trust in school and then label your drawing with some of the qualities they have.

Climate Change – What is it and how can we help?
This week you will learn about climate change and the causes and effects. You will learn about the greenhouse gases and carry out an experiment to see these effects.
