What is the equator? Can you draw this on a world map? We are going to research hot and cold climates. Look at the attached information about hot and cold climates.
What is a hot climate?
These can include – desert, jungle, sun, heat Animals – lion, tiger, meerkat, monkey, camel, scorpion, hyena, crocodile
Choose a hot climate in the world and answer these questions:
1. Can you find it on map or globe?
2. Which continent is it in?
3. What words would describe the weather there?
4. What animals live there and in what type of habitat?
5. Can you draw a picture of the place including the answers to the questions above?
What is a cold climate?
These can include – The Arctic, Antarctica, poles, snow, ice Animals – penguin, polar bear, reindeer, snowy owl, seal, wolf, arctic hare
Choose a cold climate in the world and answer these questions:
