This week we are looking at the book by Julia Donaldson entitled ‘What the ladybird heard”
Look at the book together below.
Activity 1
Can you draw some of the animals from the story? Can you write the name of the animal? What sound does it begin with?
Activity 2
Can you draw a picture and write a description for all the animals in the story? What do they look like? What colour are they? How many legs do they have?
Activity 3
Watch On the Farm baby animals. What animals can you see? What sounds do they make? Do you know the names of the baby animals
Can you match the mum to the baby?

This week we are going to put spots onto the ladybirds. Get 10 spots – put the spots onto the ladybird’s wings. How many are on each wing. Can you write the number sentence
Eg 3 + 7 = 10
How many different ways can you put the spots on the ladybird? How many different number sentences that =10 can you find?
