We are looking at the number 5 this week in Nursery. Click on the link below to play the rhyme below with your child.
Activity 1 Talk about counting the sausages in the pan and taking one sausage out from the pan. Use your fingers to show how many are ion the pan. Talk about the number changing. Can your child say how many are left in the pan each time?
Activity 2
Talk about Bonfire night with your child. Watch the short Fireworks video below (click on the link). What can you see? What sounds can you hear? Now talk about making your own Firework picture – which colours would we use? Think about the vocabulary you could use to describe the fireworks.. Crash, bang, jump, spin, explode, fizz, boom, hiss, sparkle, pop, whizz, crack, whoosh.
