Activity 1 – Read the story of the Gingerbread Man. Discuss the main characters of the story together. Where is the story set? Can you predict the next part of the story? Design a Gingerbread Man and then sequence the story pictures together.
Activity 2 – Re-read the story of the Gingerbread Man. Think about a different character jumping out of the oven. ‘Pete the Pizza’. Can you describe the character? ie triangle shape, yellow peppers. Now… Design and label your own character who jumps out from the oven.
Activity 3 – Choose a character from the story of the Gingerbread Man and write a speech bubble – what do you think the character might say?
