The Vision of West End Impact is to provide a facility for Christian community work in the West End of Morecambe and its surrounding areas. We have 4 main projects running from our facility, including a drop in for those with many needs from homelessness, to addiction or even just loneliness. We also have a youth club, and parent cafe and an art group. West End Impact was opened in response to the regeneration of Morecambe and we believe that that regeneration can only happen with a change in peoples lives. We therefore aim to help and motivate people in need into a better future by giving them information and help them with things like, rehabilitation, housing, benefits, counselling, volunteer opportunities, social inclusion etc.

Morecambe Bay Foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. It began life at the GYM Church on Green Street in Morecambe and has now moved to The West End Community Centre on Westminster Road in Morecambe. We receive and distribute over six tonnes of food each month and our operation has been growing since its inception in 2012. We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
