The ARP warden visits Sandylands

As part of our topic on World War Two, we were treated to a visit from ‘Mrs Riley, the ARP warden’ (from the Lancashire Museums Service). We learned many new things today, including how to put a gas mask on, what to do if an incendiary bomb was dropped on us and how to identify British and German fighter and bomber planes!
