Year 4 have afternoon tea at the famous Midland Hotel

Year 4 had an amazing experience last week when they had afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel. They have been learning about the 1930’s era and the Midland is  the perfect example of the Art Deco period.

Congratulations! Our first Graduates…

>What a fantastic day we had yesterday at Lancaster University. It was our first year of taking part in Children’s University and we had a whopping 54 children graduate! It was so lovey to see so many parents come down to support us too – thank you! We were so very proud of each and every one of them – well done you all worked really hard to collect your hours.  Keep filling in those passports and hopefully we will have even more graduates next year.

Bravery Award

Emily from Year 3 was awarded a special bravery certificate from the Fire Service today.

Community Music project with More Music Morecambe

Year 1,3 and 6 took part in a community music project last week. They used the local community as inspiration to write, compose and then perform their own songs. They performed their music to a packed audience of parents and the local community. Well done to all those who took part – it was an excellent event!

Trip to the local Pizza Parlour

Year One have been very lucky to experience a trip to a local restaurant this week.

DSCN0207

Frankie and Benny’s were brilliant hosts and have allowed us to find out about where some fruit and vegetables come from as well as healthy and unheathy food choices.

Whilst on our visit we designed our own pizzas, created a juice smoothie and ate our delicious pizzas!
